We are still waiting for Renault to introduce more versions of the new Megane and here we have a nice rendering, previewing how a Megane Coupe GT could look like.

It was September when the French manufacturer revealed the 2016 Megane at the Frankfurt Motor Show as a five-door hatch and now X-Tomi Design is sharing a nice virtual drawing of a Megane Coupe in GT trim. Currently, the GT is the range-topping model in the family, featuring sporty design touches, including different bumpers, 18-inch diamond-effect wheels, twin exhaust pipes, and a new diffuser at the back.

What we’ve got here is a good-looking two-door vehicle with the same GT treatment. It could get a 205 PS TCe engine, mated to a seven-speed EDC dual-clutch transmission, 4Control four-wheel steering, and sports chassis settings.

While Renault is still keeping its plans in secret, we expect the Coupe and the Sports Tourer estate to join the hatch sometime next year, probably in Geneva. The regular Coupe could be offered with the same engine lineup as the hatch, which means you can look for dCi diesel and TCe petrol units with power ranging from 90 HP (66 kW) to 205 HP (151 kW). A range-topping Megane RS is also in the cards, but it will likely be introduced several years from now.
