The owner of a fully restored 1985 Volkswagen Scirocco decided to sell his car in a rather unconventional way.

Meet Victor Stefanica, a youngster from Moldova’s capital Chisinau who loves restoring cars. He bought a 1985 VW Scirocco a few years ago and decided to conduct a full restoration.

It now wears a Porsche Guards Red paint and rides on Carline CM2 wheels, while on the inside it has Recaro front seats, an aftermarket sound system, and additional soundproofing. The vehicle also went through “some engine changes” and benefits from a lowered sports suspension along with other tweaks inside and out.

And now for the more interesting part, Victor Stefanica decided to part ways with his car and knowing it would be hard for him to sell it for €5,000, he organized a lottery. He issued 500 tickets at €10 a pop and in two weeks’ time he managed to sell all of them. The car is going to be raffled on Saturday and the lucky winner will drive home with the Scirocco, while Victor is going to cash in €5,000.

All in all, this is a good example of a win-win situation and at the same time a neat way to sell a car with the desired asking price.
