After making an appearance at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport is now back in two promotional clips.

Porsche bids farewell to the Cayman GT4’s road-legal status as the Clubsport version was created only for the track and will be there starting next year. It will take part in a multitude of series such as the SRO GT4, VLN Long Distance Championship Nürburgring, and the Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy USA. It will also participate in the Ultra 94 GT3 Cup Challenge Canada as well as in the club races organized by Porsche Club of America.

It comes with a series of race-spec bits and pieces like a new braking system with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers coupled to 380-mm steel discs. The 183-mph Cayman GT4 Clubsport also has a roll cage and rides on 18-inch forged wheels wrapped in Michelin rubbers. Porsche’s engineers have put the vehicle on a strict weight loss program and shaved off 84 lbs (38 kg), so the car now tips the scales at 2,866 lbs (1,300 kg).

The flat-six 3.8-liter has been adapted for motorsport use and in this application produces 380 bhp (283 kW) channeled to the road through a custom dual-clutch gearbox and a race-spec mechanical locking differential.

Interested customers should know that Porsche has already opened the order books and are asking €111,000 (without VAT) in Germany and $165,000 in United States.
