Cadillac is putting the finishing touches on their Super Cruise semi-autonomous system but Johan de Nysschen has revealed the technology won't eliminate the enjoyment of driving by yourself.

Speaking J.D Power Automotive Marketing Roundtable, de Nysschen said "Autonomous driving and driving passion must co-exist" as the alternative would be a "nightmare."  As he explained, a fully autonomous car focused exclusively on functionality would create a "mind-numbing experience" that would be about as much fun as taking the bus.

Instead, Cadillac wants to eliminate the "tedious parts" of driving such as being stuck in stop-and-go traffic.  He went on to tout the increased safety that autonomous driving systems offer and said their system will "enhance the joy of driving."
