The F-Type R Coupe is just about to be dethroned as Jaguar is working on an SVR version which will be the cream of the crop. This suffix is reserved only fpr the range-topping edition of a model and in the case of the F-Type means more than 600 bhp (447 kW) from an upgraded version of the V8 5.0-liter supercharged engine.

According to the latest gossip, the F-Type SVR Coupe will be all-wheel drive-only and there won't be a manual gearbox on offer as Jaguar has plans on selling the higher performance model exclusively with the eight-speed Quickshift automatic gearbox. If you would rather drive with the roof down, you'll be happy to hear that recent spy photos have shown there's an F-Type SVR Convertible on the agenda as well.

Look for an official debut of the coupe at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March and maybe Jaguar will show the open-top version as well.
