We are still waiting for a confirmation of the full Alfa Romeo Giulia engine range but a lower-spec prototype of the model has been filmed testing.

What we’ve got here appears to be the base version of the all-new Alfa Giulia, judging by the smaller wheels, toned down bumpers and even black door handles. The overall sporty silhouette of the sedan hasn’t been changed.

We can’t be absolutely sure what’s hiding under the hood but it sounds like a four-cylinder turbo petrol engine. This could be the expected 2.0-liter turbo unit that will be offered along with a 2.2-liter and 3.0-liter V6 diesel powerplants.

A debut for the standard Giulia will likely happen next year during the 2016 Geneva Motor Show with sales starting in the autumn.
