BMW has delivered the ten millionth 3-Series to its owner at a special ceremony at BMW Welt in Munich.

Bought by long-time customer Xaver Bittl, the Imperial Blue 320d rolled off the assembly line earlier this month and features a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder engine that produces 190 PS (140 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque.

Despite its significance, the ten millionth 3-Series won't be tucked away and preserved as Bittl intends to use the model for his driving school in Eichstätt.

In a statement, BMW Welt boss Helmut Käs said "The handover of the ten millionth BMW 3 Series Sedan is a special occasion for the company. We are delighted to have been able to provide the ideal setting for such an exclusive event."
