Chevrolet has announced owners of certain 2016 models will be able to upgrade their MyLink infotainment system so it has Android Auto compatibility.

The update will be available exclusively through Chevrolet dealers who will install new software on vehicles equipped with an 8-inch MyLink infotainment system.  The update process is slated to begin in March of 2016.

Chevrolet declined to give a detailed breakdown of which models will be eligible for the update but vehicles equipped with the 8-inch MyLink infotainment system include the Cruze, Malibu, Impala, Volt, Camaro, Corvette, Colorado, Silverado, Tahoe and Suburban.

In a statement, GM North America and Global Chevrolet President Alan Batey said “We are working with our dealers to make the software update as quick and easy as possible to minimize any inconvenience to our owners.”
