The Jaguar C-X75 was killed off  during the global economic recession but it appears the model was almost given a reprieve.

According to Autocar, Jaguar considered putting the supercar into limited to production to celebrate their 80th anniversary as well as the model's appearance in SPECTRE.  The report goes on to say production would have been limited to approximately 80 units and the model could have been renamed the C-X80.

Unfortunately that didn't happen as the company reportedly determined the model was too old and would distract them from launching new models such as the XE and F-PACE.
