The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS accelerates from 0-60 mph in an impressive four seconds but buyers looking for something even faster can look forward to the new Camaro ZL1 which was recently spotted on the Nürburgring.

Looking decidedly more aggressive than the mainstream variants, the ZL1 features a new front fascia with a massive lower air intake that is flanked by new side intakes.  The model also has a bulging hood, aggressive side skirts and a trunk-mounted spoiler.  Other highlights include a sportier rear bumper and a four-tailpipe exhaust system with larger tips.

Chevrolet has been tight-lipped about the model but it is expected to use a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine.  The engine produces 650 bhp (485 kW) in the Corvette Z06 but it will likely be detuned for use in the Camaro.  There's no word on what the final output will be but estimates peg it at upwards of 600 bhp (447 kW).
