Lancia has announced plans to introduce the facelifted Ypsilon at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Lancia has announced plans to introduce the facelifted Ypsilon at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Described as a "fresh, modern take on its unique personality," the facelifted Ypsi features a new front bumper, a revised grille and larger fog lights.  The model will also be available in two new colors including Ivory Chic and Blu di Blu.

Lancia declined to release interior pictures but said the model features updated upholstery and a revised dashboard with new textures.  The model also has a new gear knob and an updated instrument cluster that is easier to read.  There's also more interior room and a newly standard Uconnect infotainment system with a five-inch display (on Gold variants).

Under the hood, five engines will be available including:

  • A 1.2-liter with 69 PS (50 kW)
  • A 0.9-liter TwinAir Turbo with 85 PS (62 kW)
  • A 1.3-liter Multijet with 95 PS (69 kW)
  • A 1.2-liter LPG/Petrol with 69 PS (50 kW)
  • A 0.9-liter TwinAir Turbo Methane/Petrol with 80 PS (58 kW)
