Volkswagen will reportedly use the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show to introduce an all-new Microbus concept.

According to Autocar's sources, the concept will be smaller than the Multivan and feature styling cues from the Bulli concept which originally debuted at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.  Little else is known about the concept but it will reportedly feature an electric powertrain that will enable the model to travel up to 500 km (310 miles) on a single charge.

The magazine goes on to say the concept will preview a production model which will be built in Mexico in 2017.  It will reportedly be offered with turbocharged four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines as well as the aforementioned electric drivetrain.
