The Lotus Evora 400 is finally headed to dealerships as the automaker has announced the first few models have driven off the assembly line and will soon be delivered to customers across the United Kingdom and mainland Europe.

Originally unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, the Evora 400 was designed to be the "fastest and most powerful production Lotus ever."  As a result, it features a supercharged 3.5-liter V6 engine that develops 400 bhp (406 PS / 298 kW) and 410 Nm (302 lb-ft) of torque.   It enables the coupe to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds before hitting a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h).

In a statement, Lotus CEO Jean-Marc Gales said "The Evora 400 has already received admiration and critical acclaim from media around the world, praising its performance, handling and design. In September and October, Lotus dealers throughout the UK and mainland Europe will be receiving their demonstrator and customers cars, so now is the opportunity for drivers to get behind the wheel and experience the Evora 400 for themselves.”
