Believed to bear the Speciale or GTO suffix, the upcoming higher performance version of the F12 has already been caught on camera without any disguise which means an official reveal is just around the corner. Seen here is a near-production prototype still carrying some white disguise which doesn't really hide the car's tweaked design and it's easy to notice the vented rear fenders with those three slats providing extra cooling.

The front bumper will also go through some revisions while the rear on is getting a more significant redesign with a new diffuser and extra vents mounted above the exhaust tips. The shape of the rear window will also change and it will be more raked compared to the current F12. In addition, these two-tone alloy wheels are also new and behind them hide black brake calipers.

The new F12 GTO / Speciale is rumored to drop a massive 200 kg (441 lbs) and gain an additional 30 bhp (22 kW) from its V12 6.3-liter normally aspirated engine which is expected to churn 760 bhp (567 kW). As a result of these changes, the meaner Berlinetta is believed to complete the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) task in less than three seconds.

We will know more in the weeks to come as the model will be introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show kicking off mid-September.
