After last night's reveal, Mercedes-AMG has released three videos with their brand new C63 S Coupe .
The BMW M4 fighter won't be available until March next year, but Mercedes-AMG is anxious to show us their "sportiest C-Class ever" which in this range-topping S specification runs the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in a very impressive 3.9 seconds, thus making it 0.2s quicker than its Bavarian rival. It weighs 1,725 kg (90% tank, without driver & luggage) and is electronically capped at 155 mph (250 km/h), but if you tick the AMG Driver's Package box on the options list, Daimler’s performance division will bump that limiter to 180 mph (290 km/h).
Aside from the power difference (510 PS & 700 Nm vs 476 PS & 650 Nm), two other features set the S version apart from the standard model: the dynamic engine mounts and the different wheel + tire combo as it rides on 9.0" x 19" (front) and 10.5" x 19" (rear) 5-twin-spoke lightweight wheels with 255/35 R19 (front) and 285/30 R19 tires whereas the base C63 has 9.0" x 18" (front) and 10.5" x 18" (rear) 10-spoke wheels with 255/40 R18 (front) and 285/35 R18 (rear) rubbers.
A public debut of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe range including the AMG duo will take place next month at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
