A handful of Aston Martin DB11 prototypes have been spied putting in a few laps on the Nürburgring.

Looking perfectly composed, the cars tackled the green hell with ease as their only problem was a slow poke an Astra.

The prototypes are far from finished but they feature a familiar front fascia with a prominent grille that is flanked by LED-infused headlights.  The cars also have a rakish windscreen, muscular rear fenders and edgy styling which appears to be influenced by recent models such as the DB10 and the Lagonda.

While the cars are slated to ride on an updated version of the VH platform, they will feature new engines sourced from Mercedes-AMG.  These are slated to include a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 and a twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12.
