Ferrari is putting the finishing touches on the hardcore Speciale (name not confirmed) version of the F12 Berlinetta and it seems the manufacturer is currently performing some high speed tests to its new vehicle. This is the first time we can hear the sound of the car that appears to be a little bit higher than the standard machine.

Earlier this month we shared spy photos of a completely undisguised prototype twice, so we can’t say the design would be a surprise for anyone. Power will likely be provided by a retuned V12 unit with 760 bhp (567 kW). The coupe will be up to 200 kg (441 lbs) lighter than the Berlinetta, which will ensure the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration won’t take more than three seconds.

The public debut of the F12 Speciale will likely take place during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. An online reveal could occur a few weeks earlier.
