Bugatti has started the teasing game for its highly anticipated Veyron replacement.

"A new chapter begins" is Bugatti's way of saying we should get ready for a new record-breaking hypercar which aims to be better in just about every way than the Veyron Super Sport WRE. According to company president Wolfang Dürheimer, the new model - believed to be called Chiron - is going to be "in a class of its own, with impressive power statistics, performance and design. We plan to stay at the top."

At the ongoing Pebble Beach, they are showcasing a wide variety of important Bugatti models such as the Type 57SC Corsica Roadster, Type 55 Super Sport Roadster, Type 35 and the Veyron Super Sport. However, they might not be telling us the whole story as a heavily camouflaged prototype of the Veyron replacement was spotted at an airport in Los Angeles and chances are that car is being showcased at a private event to potential customers.

The attached teaser clip doesn't reveal anything about the car per se, but it does mean we should expect to see more action from Bugatti and its upcoming hybrid hypercar. Chances are their new model will first be revealed as a concept in the months to come before debuting in production form probably by the end of 2016.
