According to Zero2Turbo, the car was being driven by the owner's nephew, but it's not known at this point what exactly happened. Even though the airbags did not deploy, the impact must have been fairly powerful as the suspension has been heavily damaged and all of the wheels are misaligned. There are some burn marks at the back which indicates a fire emerged from the engine compartment shortly after the crash.

It's hard to say whether the car will be restored to its former glory and we are certain the owner is not too happy with his nephew's achievement, crashing a brand new 911 GT3 RS which carries a starting price of €181,690 in Germany (£131,296 in UK and $175,900 in U.S) before adding any extras.
