The SEAT Ibiza-based crossover has been digitally interpreted ahead of a rumored market launch set for 2017.

Volkswagen-owned SEAT is taking its sweet time coming out with crossovers, but they are now trying to make up for lost time by preparing a compact model due to go on sale next year. It will reportedly be followed by this, a subcompact crossover planned for 2017 and the latest gossip indicates it will be based on the next generation Ibiza and should have many components in common with the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun.

It will ride on a shortened version of the MQB platform and will be part of SEAT's turnaround plan which will also include a larger crossover previewed by the 20V20 concept. That one will be slotted in the mid-size segment and is expected to go on sale before the end of this decade.

We will be able to get an early look at the subcompact crossover sometime next year when the fifth generation Ibiza supermini will be out in Europe.
