It’s not a secret that Audi is working on a range-topping SQ7 version for the Q7 SUV and a new report is indicating the machine could feature a 4.0-liter V8 TDI engine.

A purported spec sheet of the model reveals it will be powered by a new 4.0-liter V8 TDI, generating 435 PS (320 kW) and yet unknown peak torque. Given the fact that the 4.2 TDI of the current A8 has 850 Nm (626 lb-ft) of torque, we can expect at least 900 Nm for the new diesel powerplant.

No further technical details are available at the moment but reports suggest the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration will likely take no more than 5.5 seconds, while the top speed will reportedly reach 300 km/h (186 mph).

An official debut of the SQ7 could occur during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
