Aston Martin has announced the high-performance Vulcan will complete two flying laps at the TOTAL 24 Hours of Spa.

Set to be driven by Darren Turner, the car will "demonstrate its abilities as the ultimate track-only machine" on July 25th about two and half hours before the race kicks off.

In a statement Turner said “It was very early days for the car when we first ran it at Goodwood Festival of Speed, but we certainly made a good impression and now we get to show the car in its most natural environment. I’m looking forward to our laps prior to the race and then being able to watch one of the best 24-hour events on the calendar.”

Introduced earlier this year, the Vulcan is a limited edition track car that features a carbon fiber monocoque chassis and a naturally-aspirated 7.0-liter V12 engine that develops more than 800 bhp (596 kW).  The engine is connected to a six-speed sequential transmission which enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than three seconds before hitting a top speed in excess of 200 mph (321.8 km/h).
