Mercedes-AMG has already released a couple of teasers with the high-performance coupe which means an official reveal will occur very soon, ahead of the model’s public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show set for mid-September. It will obviously look sleeker than its sedan sibling and will get 255/35 ZR19 front tires whereas the four-door model has 245/35 R19 front rubbers.

Besides the different body style and front tires, chances are the two models will be further differentiated as the coupe could sit a bit lower and will have more bulged wheel arches while the rear end is going to host a more prominent trunk lid spoiler and different taillights that will likely have a lot in common with those fitted onto the S-Class Coupe and/or AMG GT.

In the engine department we expect to find the same twin-turbo V8 4.0-liter engine offered in two states of tune: 476 PS (350 kW) & 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) in the standard version and 510 PS (375 kW) & 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) in the range-topping S specification and in both cases the power transfer will be done through an AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7-speed sports transmission.

Sometime next year, the C63 sedan, wagon and coupe will be joined by a convertible version.
