Making the switch to a front-wheel drive layout, BMW’s second generation of the X1 SAV is probably not as appealing as before, but there’s an M Sport Package available to spice things up. A pre-production car painted in Alpine White fitted with the optional kit was spotted showing a slightly sportier body with beefier bumpers and side skirts, along with a mildly revised kidney grille and other minor tweaks.

Inside the cabin it features sportier seats, leather steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control system and bespoke side sills. It also has Estoril Blue trim and stitching, along with cruise control (with braking function) and rear parking sensors.

Depending on trim and engine, the M Sport Package is available for €4,100 to €5,200. If these goodies haven't convinced you, BMW recently said they are analyzing the prospects of launching an X1 M but even if approved that won't be out sooner than 2017.
