Another day, another M2 story, and this time we bring the best spy shots so far with the 370 PS coupe from Bavaria.

The new M model many have been waiting for is almost ready to receive a proper world premiere as we are about two months away from the car's debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show which means official images and details should pop up online in the weeks to come. This latest batch of spy images shows a pre-production prototype near the 'Ring performing testing duties while carrying the final body.

Despite the camouflage, you will easily notice it looks meaner than the M235i Coupe and employs a quad exhaust system as you would expect from a full-blown M model. There's also a subtle trunk lip spoiler, along with a vented front bumper and black alloys backed by enlarged brakes.

For an estimated €54,000, BMW will offer you a high-performance coupe with a turbocharged 6-cylinder 3.0-liter engine believed to pump out 370 PS (272 kW) and a maximum torque of 465 Nm (500 Nm with overboost). This should be enough muscle for a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in less than 4.5 seconds and a 155 mph (250 km/h) limited top speed. Chances are an optional M Driver's Package will bump the limiter to 170 mph (274 km/h).

It's unknown at this point whether the engine will work with a six-speed manual gearbox and/or seven-speed DCT, but hopefully BMW will offer both of them to satisfy everyone's tastes.
