Ford Europe has launched a new interactive video which allows users to sit shotgun in a Mustang GT as it laps the Silverstone race track.

Designed to promote the recently launched pony car, the clip allows gives users a panoramic view of the lap and they can change their vantage point by moving the mouse.  Visitors can also "seamlessly switch to helicopter and front bumper views" as well as see the Mustang’s position on an active map with speedometer and rev counter displays.

In order to create the video, Ford used six GoPro cameras, a drone and a couple of other cameras mounted on the front bumper.  The company says the footage was then "meticulously edited to ensure a seamless panorama" experience.
