Speaking to Autoblog, Winkelmann said "Naturally aspirated engines are still the best engines which are on the market for super sports cars, in terms of acceleration, in terms of sound, and unless there is [something] better, we are going to keep them."  However, he did concede the company is always looking at ways to make their cars better so they could eventually be a turbocharged engines in the future.

While Winkelmann downplayed the possibility of using a turbocharged engine in their cars, the company's upcoming crossover could be offered with a more powerful version of Audi's twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8.
