Mercedes-Benz has released a new video previewing the remote parking pilot system in the next generation E-Class.
The German company says the parking can be a nightmare when the vehicle alongside has parked so tight that it is impossible to open the door of your own car, so it has developed a remote parking system controlled outside the vehicle through a smartphone app. The driver is allowed to move forward and backward and steer the car remotely.
From what we know about the new E-Class so far, the car is expected to go on sale next year, marking the return of the inline six-cylinder diesel engines for the company. We are talking about a 2.9-liter diesel unit with 313 bhp (233 kW) that will be joining a range of 4-, 6- and 8-cylinder motors, including a 1.6-liter diesel with 122 bhp (91 kW).
