Our spies have sent us a fresh batch of shots with the forthcoming Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe (C205).

Mercedes-Benz is doing more than just remove the rear doors of a C-Class Sedan (W205) as the attached images clearly show a significantly more sloped roofline creating a more dynamic look while the rear end seems to host a different pair of slender taillights which could take some cues from the AMG GT and/or S-Class Coupe. There's also an angled trunk lid incorporating a spoiler and this particular car has some sporty dual exhaust tips along with the optional sunroof.

Needless to say, the engine lineup will closely mirror the sedan, including a 367 PS & 517 Nm V6 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine in the C450 AMG Sport version while the range-topping C63 – which has already been spied – will make use of a V8 4.0-liter twin-turbo with 476 PS & 650 Nm and 510 PS & 700 Nm in the flagship S version.

Mercedes-Benz is expected to show the highly anticipated MRA-based C-Class Coupe in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show, but an online reveal should occur before. As for the range-topping Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe, this will likely be introduced early next year. A C-Class Convertible will join the range later on in both standard and AMG flavors.
