Poland and Slovakia are the two finalists for a new factory from Jaguar Land Rover.

JLR has serious expansion plans as aside from signing an agreement with Magna Steyr to make cars in Austria, they also plan on opening a new assembly plant in Poland or Slovakia. A final decision regarding location will be made in the near future as Jaguar Land Rover wants to make 350,000 units at this new factory in 2019. A sixth round of negotiations is programmed for Monday with the authorities in Poland's capital Warsaw and if an agreement will be reached, it will be the largest investment in the car manufacturing industry in the country, according to Deputy Prime Minister Janusz Piechocinski.

Aside from these two production locations, Jaguar Land Rover opened up a factory in China back in October last year where they will make 130,000 cars annually. In addition, next year they will inaugurate a new assembly plant in Brazil and they are also analyzing the prospects of producing cars in Mexico. Moreover, a decision regarding the possibility of a plant in United States will be made around 2018.
