Kia is introducing a higher specification Chilli trim for the UK-spec Picanto city car.

After being mildly facelifted earlier this year, the cute Picanto in three-door guise is now available with more equipment as the Chilli version is offered with satellite navigation for the first time on the Euro-spec model. It comes along with a 7-inch touchscreen display as seen in the Rio and works together with a reversing camera while a 6-speaker sound system is standard.

It will be available in black, white and red body colors with a twin exhaust tailpipe and body-colored side sill mouldings. It rides on 15-inch five-spoke alloy wheels wrapped around in 175/50 tires while on the inside it gets black faux leather seats, aluminum pedals along with a glossy black look for the center fascia, gear shifter top and the steering wheel bezel.

The Kia Picanto Chilli can be had exclusively with an Euro 6-compliant 1.2-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine developing 84 bhp (63 kW) and 120 Nm (89 lb-ft) of torque. It works as standard with a five-speed manual but at an additional cost it can also be paired to an optional four-speed automatic.

Kia is already taking orders and they are asking £11.495 for the manual model and £12,095 if you go for the auto 'box.
