An Australian driver of what appears to be a Maserati Quattroporte has written of his luxury vehicle after a rather unusual accident.

The man swerved to avoid a dog on the road and a pint of paint on the rear seats opened and covered almost the entire interior of the Italian machine. As you can see in the attached photo, the dashboard, windshield and the leather seats are totally ruined because of the white paint. Thankfully, the driver was fine.

Claims Manager for RAA Insurance Hayley Cain commented that “given the extent of damage to the interior, our insurance assessors declared it a write off and we settled the claim for over $90,000.” She also explained that “as the tin flew around the car like a mini tornado, the leather interior and windscreen were liberally splashed with a thick coat of white paint.”
