According to our friends at Autogespot.nl, the two pics are screenshots from a private configurator available only for Ferrari customers. This sort of leak happened before with the 458 Speciale Aperta and now we have an early look at the higher specification F12 Berlinetta believed to receive the iconic "GTO" suffix.

We do see some design cues inspired by the legendary 250 GTO so it would make sense for this upcoming hardcore F12 to reinstate that moniker although we will have to wait for an official confirmation from Ferrari.

The latest gossip points to a 60 PS (44 kW) bump in output to 800 PS (588 kW) from the V12 6.3-liter naturally aspirated engine which could work with a HY-KERS system adapted from the LaFerrari. Aside from packing more punch, the F12 GTO will reportedly shave off around 100 kg (220 lbs), so expect some exceptional performances from the upcoming prancing horse.

Only 650 units are planned and Ferrari will start shipping them in the second quarter of next year. An official reveal of the F12 GTO is scheduled for Frankfurt Motor Show in mid-September, but Ferrari could decide to show it online in the following months.
