Independent artist X-Tomi Design has decided to transform the 2015 Peugeot 308 GTi into a hot compact wagon.

The market for a spicy 308 GTi SW is virtually inexistent which is why Peugeot doesn't plan on rolling out such a version even though this would turn out to be a viable solution for an all-rounder with enough muscle in the front and plenty of cargo capacity in the back.

Should the French lion change its mind at some point, the potent C-segment wagon will obviously borrow the hatchback's four-cylinder, 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that delivers 250 and 270 PS sent to the front wheels through a six-speed manual transmission.

Peugeot will be offering the more powerful 308 GTi hatch with a limited-slip differential and larger 19-inch alloys whereas the lesser version lacks the diff and rides on 18-inch rims. It's bound to hit dealerships later this year and will eventually be followed by a range-topping 308 R.
