The 2017 Audi A5 Coupe has been spied undergoing testing on the Nürburgring.

While the model is dressed in swirly camouflage, we can see the car will have an evolutionary design that incorporates styling elements from its predecessor as well as the 2016 A4.  Starting up front, there's a prominent grille which is flanked by sweptback headlights and sporty air intakes.  The model also has door-mounted mirrors, a stylish roofline and a short trunk with an integrated spoiler.

Audi hasn't had much to say about the model but it is expected to ride on the MLB Evo platform and weigh approximately 100 kg (220 lbs) less than its predecessor.

Engine options will likely echo those in the 2016 A4, so expect a variety of petrol and diesel options including a new 2.0-liter TFSI four-cylinder that develops 190 PS (140 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque.
