BMW has introduced the 640i Coupe M Performance Edition in Japan.

BMW has introduced the 640i Coupe M Performance Edition in Japan.

Designed to stand out from the crowd, the M Performance Edition has an Alpine White exterior with a blacked out grille, carbon fiber mirror caps and 20-inch M light-alloy wheels.  The model also has adaptive LED headlights and the M Sport Package.

The sporty styling continues in the cabin as there's Dakota leather sport seats, a carbon fiber gear knob and an M Sport steering wheel.  Other highlights include stainless steel pedals, gray poplar wood trim and the Plus package that adds ambient lighting, Comfort Access and soft-close doors.

A 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine resides under the hood and produces 320 PS (235 kW) and 450 Nm (331 lb-ft) of torque.  It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission which sends power to the rear wheels.

Production will be limited to 10 units and pricing starts at ¥10,979,000.
