An unused replica of the Tumbler batmobile is for sale at a used car dealership in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The attached images were sent by a WCF reader who spotted the imposing vehicle at GTR Motors, a dealer specialized in selling pre-owned vehicles. We did a bit of digging and managed to find out it is on sale for 3.7 million AED which converted into U.S. dollars is approximately $1 million. It was built in 2013 and comes with an 8-cylinder 5.7-liter engine pushing out 500 bhp (373 kW) channeled to the rear wheels through an automatic transmission.
Despite its sheer size (and weight), the dealer says it hits 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in less than 6 seconds and tops out at more than 155 mph (250 km/h). The Tumbler is equipped with LED headlights and apparently can actually shoot out fire from the rear as it features propane tanks. It rides on 18.5-inch Hoosier front tires and 44-inch super swamper rear tires while on the inside it gets an air conditioning system, leather upholstery, navigation and a rearview camera.
The Tumbler appeared in three Batman movies: Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012). Interestingly, the technical specifications posted by the dealer are identical to those of the official car which is 4.62 meters (15 feet 2 inches) long, 2.79 meters wide (9 feet 2 inches) and 1.5 meters tall (4 feet 11 inches). The dealer doesn't specify the car's weight but the original Tumbler tips the scales at a hefty 2,300 kg (5,070 lbs).
