Jaguar has already dropped a hint about a new crossover and now CAR is reporting the model will be sold with the "E-Pace" moniker.

The F-Pace hasn't even shown its production face yet but Jaguar is already thinking about coming out with a smaller crossover which according to UK media will be known as the "E-Pace" and is set to share the same platform with the next generation Range Rover Evoque. It will compete directly with the BMW X3 and will allegedly use the D8 platform from the new Discovery Sport.

The Jaguar E-Pace is believed to be in a "very early evaluation stage" which means it will likely be out towards the end of the decade when it could be joined by a large J-Pace model based on the Range Rover. The report specifies Jaguar could reposition the E-Pace before its launch as a BMW X1 competitor to avoid cannibalizing sales of the Evoque.
