Don't let the familiar body trick you into believing Mercedes-Benz doesn't plan any cosmetic changes for the SL's mid-cycle refresh as previous spy shots have shown the high-end roadster will receive a different front fascia. The prototype depicted in the attached spy video was wearing the current body while the headlights were covered to hide the new graphics and full LED technology.

It will also receive reworked side skirts and a few revisions to both front and rear bumpers while the taillights should get a look inspired by the S-Class. Some minor interior cabin tweaks are also planned as Mercedes-Benz will update the car's infotainment system to the latest generation and they will also upgrade the safety & assistance systems.

New body colors, trim packages and upholstery finishes are likely in the works as well and will be ready before the end of the year as a recent report states Mercedes-Benz will open the order books for the facelifted SL in December and begin deliveries in March next year.
