If you had your heart set on a V8-powered Cadillac ATS-V+, prepare to be disappointed as the brand's communications manager has quashed that possibility.

If you had your heart set on a V8-powered Cadillac ATS-V+, prepare to be disappointed as the brand's communications manager has quashed that possibility.

Speaking to Motor Authority, David Caldwell said “The ATS-V we have today is supremely capable—so much so that it’s unlikely to receive a larger or different engine in the foreseeable future." Caldwell went on to say there's "no need" for a V8-powered ATS-V as the company will introduce the 2016 CTS-V this summer with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that develops 640 bhp (477 kW) and 630 lb-ft (855 Nm) of torque.
