Dwayne Johnson aka "The Rock" has announced he will make a comeback in the eighth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise.

Furious 7 has grossed so far $1.5 billion so it shouldn't come as a surprise that producers are already planning another movie which we know from Vin Diesel will be out on April 14, 2017 and the action is set to take place in New York. Kurt Russell will be back as he will play an important role in the new movie and will be on the same set once again with Dwayne Johnson.

"The Rock" made the announcement at the official press conference for his latest movie called San Andreas which will hit theaters on May 29. The guys from Nerd Report asked him whether he will be back in Furious 8 and after a three-second pause he said "Of course. Can't go on without Hobbs."

He also dropped a hint about a potential Fast and Furious spinoff with Hobbs as the main character, but a decision has not been taken just yet.
