The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro has been given an early unveiling thanks to CNBC's Squawk Box.

While the car wasn't supposed to be unveiled until tomorrow, the television program showed several pictures of the car ahead of schedule.  As a result, we can see the model will have an evolutionary design that is instantly recognizable.

There's no word on specifics but the entry-level variant has a slender grille which is flanked by LED-infused headlights.  The model also has a dual exhaust system and familiar taillights.

Moving up to the Camaro SS will reward buyers with a more aggressive exterior that features a sportier front bumper, a ventilated hood and horizontal LED daytime running lights.  The high-performance variant also gains a rear spoiler and a four-tailpipe exhaust system.
