Our spies have sent us a new video with the 2016 Kia cee'd facelift stretching out on the Nürburgring.

Almost a month ago we saw a camouflaged Kia cee'd prototype tackling the 'Ring carrying the standard body but inside it had a roll cage and Recaro seats. The very same car is back in a new spy video and chances are that underneath the skin is a cee'd GT which is bound to receive some updates together with the entire facelifted cee'd range.

The current cee'd GT can only be had with a six-speed manual gearbox, but most likely the revised variant will welcome a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission sourced from the Hyundai i30 Turbo . It's not known at this point whether the four-cylinder, 1.6-liter GDi engine will receive a power bump, but we remind you the current configuration offers 204 PS (150  kW) and 265 Nm (195 lb-ft). The outgoing version needs 7.7 seconds until 62 mph (100 km/h) and tops out at 143 mph (230 km/h).

The latest gossip indicates Kia will unveil the facelifted cee'd in August, before heading to the Frankfurt Motor Show scheduled a month later.
