Rolls-Royce has officially announced the Wraith Drophead Coupe will be called the Dawn when it goes on sale early next year.

Described as an "exciting and sensuous drophead," the convertible is essentially a soft-top version of the Wraith.  As a result, it will likely feature a twin-turbo 6.6-liter V12 engine that produces 632 PS (624 bhp / 465 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. This enables the Wraith to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, so expect the Dawn to be slightly slower.

In a statement, Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes said “[The] Dawn is a beautiful new open-top motor car with a name that suggests the fresh opportunities that every new day holds – an awakening, an opening up of one’s senses and a burst of sunshine. It will be the most social of super-luxury motor cars for those beautiful people who wish to bathe in the sunlight of the world’s social hotspots.”
