Mercedes is working on a high-performance version of the AMG GT and our spies have just caught the model undergoing testing on the Nürburgring.

Rumored to be a road-going version of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 race car, the model features an aerodynamic body kit that includes a front splitter, canards and a prominent rear wing.

Little else is known about the car but AMG CEO Tobias Moers has previously said the company is working on a "nice" variant that will be launched in late 2016.  It will reportedly be lighter than the Mercedes-AMG GT S and have approximately 550 PS (404 kW).
