According to a recent report, Toyota is putting the finishing touches on an updated Prado.

Set to be unveiled this summer, the updated model is expected to feature from a number of upgrades that will be introduced on the new Hilux.  Nothing is official but sources have told Motoring the 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine will be replaced by a 2.8-liter four-cylinder unit.  It will produce 160 bhp (119 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) in the Hilux, so expect similar figures in the Prado.

Additional information is limited but the SUV could gain a new six-speed automatic transmission as well as improved safety and convenience options.
