Looking more aggressive than the Chinese variant, the US-spec model features a slender grille that resides above a large intake.  The sedan also has LED-infused headlights, door-mounted mirrors and plenty of chrome trim.  Moving further back, there's sporty side skirts, a tailgate-mounted spoiler and a distinctive rear bumper.

Chevrolet has been relatively tight-lipped about the model but it could be offered with a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 160 bhp (119 kW) and 184 lb-ft (250 Nm) of torque.  The Cruze is also slated to feature a familiar 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine with 151 bhp (112 kW) and 264 lb-ft (357 Nm) of torque.

The 2016 Chevrolet Cruze is expected to be unveiled later this year so stay tuned for full details.
