Our spy photographers have sent us a second batch of images with the 2017 Lincoln Continental.

Lincoln brought back to life its legendary "Continental" nameplate for a concept which was unveiled at the beginning of the month in New York. Shortly after that, we posted spy images depicting a prototype which announces the arrival of a production version likely for the 2017 model year. Many are probably curious to find out the styling differences between the two and whether there will be voices saying it looks like a Bentley Flying Spur.

Not much is known about the car's innards, but it will probably use the CD4 platform from the US-spec Ford Fusion. However, it will be enlarged for the Continental which is expected to boast a standard all-wheel drive arrangement. Lincoln has previous announced an EcoBoost V6 3.0-liter engine will be available only on the Continental and will likely be joined by a 4-cylinder motor serving as the base model tailored to the Chinese market.

Set to be unveiled at a major auto show sometime next year, the production-ready 2017MY Lincoln Continental will carry an estimated starting price in excess of $60,000.
