Following the 2016 Toyota Hilux design leak from earlier this year, the engines specifications of the model have also hit the web.

In February this year the next generation Hilux was photographed with no camouflage and now we have new interesting details about the pickup to share. This time a photo, reportedly taken during an event in Thailand, reveals the vehicle will get new diesel engines.

The old 2.5-liter and 3.0-liter diesel units will be replaced by smaller 2.4-liter and 2.8-liter powerplants with the first being available with 150 PS (111 kW) and 167 PS (123 kW), while the more powerful will be offered with 177 PS (130 kW). All they will be mated to either a manual or an automatic transmissions.
