Chevrolet has announced plans to auction off the first 2015 COPO Camaro at the Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach auction on April 18th.

Bearing the 2015COPO001 serial number, the first production model features an Abalone White exterior with matte gray and orange accents as well as “15” graphics. The car has also been equipped with a solid rear axle, a race-spec chassis, a rollcage and a retuned-suspension with unique components.

Power is provided by a supercharger 5.7-liter V8 engine that produces 555 bhp (413 kW). It is connected to a three-speed automatic racing transmission which enables the model to run the quarter mile in the mid-eight second range.

100 percent of the winning bid will go to the Achilles Freedom Team of Wounded Veterans which helps disabled athletes - most notably veterans - gain access to equipment, training and races.
